My main reason for keeping a cotoneaster in situ is because it attracts birds that wouldn't normally visit. xElizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05792185208462306952noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-103598810361847905.post-47347862285275094572012-02-25T08:07:56.706+00:002012-02-25T08:07:56.706+00:00I don't think we have fieldfares over here -- ...I don't think we have fieldfares over here -- at least not in our neck of the woods. Our neighbor severely cut back his olive tree, which is sad in one way, because the American robins would stop over on their flights north and the cedar wax wings too. This was the tree Henrietta would roost in. Henrietta was our visiting hen for about ten months a year or so ago. If you want to see her you can probably search my blog. I had quite a few stories about her.ChrisJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11550420299395301062noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-103598810361847905.post-30854813095269278812012-02-23T21:02:24.752+00:002012-02-23T21:02:24.752+00:00I bet the birds are pleased for those berries in w...I bet the birds are pleased for those berries in winter! We have a bush that attracts beautiful, large yellow and black butterflies in the spring.

It's a lovely, sunny and warm winter day today, but I hear we are about to get dumped on!kaybeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12808550103489943108noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-103598810361847905.post-57389344510235985502012-02-23T18:37:32.707+00:002012-02-23T18:37:32.707+00:00This comment has been removed by the author.kaybeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12808550103489943108noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-103598810361847905.post-24062472326303264542012-02-23T18:34:16.586+00:002012-02-23T18:34:16.586+00:00This comment has been removed by the author.kaybeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12808550103489943108noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-103598810361847905.post-83264835251462643832012-02-23T14:12:49.631+00:002012-02-23T14:12:49.631+00:00What kind of tree is it?
