Shadows

Having recently seen Kaybee's snow sun and shadow pictures has prompted me to post these pictures I took of our glass table.  When the sun is just right (and out) it makes an odd pattern of shadows and reflections on the wall and the radiator.  (Check out the link if you have not seen Kaybee's pictures)

The rectangle is a table mat still on the tabel

This time the table is clear
Nothing to do with chadows but I managed to capture these two Redwings eating winter berries a few days ago

  2. I love the photo of the redwings eating the berries! That, too, would make lovely greeting card - you are an excellent photographer, Snafu!

Shadows are so interesting. You don't really think about them until someone mentions them, then you realize how strange they often are!

  4. Ellie, it is a Sony A55 with a Sigma zoom lens.
Kaybee, it runs in the family, but I never show the hundred or so awful pictures discarded for each good one.
Chris, Redwings are fairly rare and these are first ones we have seen in our garden.

  5. I don't think I've ever seen Redwings before either. They look like they are settling down for a feast. I love shadows and the play of light. Always interesting and atmospheric.
